I like photo number 1 because of the fact that I can see K.T. Mallory took a chance to take a photo while waiting for the traffic lights. It makes me curious where it is when I look at the reflected background on the side mirror. I like photo number 10 as well because of the use of the mirror. I am not too certain if that is mirror at the left corner of the photo but it still looks interesting seeing flower facing all four directions. I would vote for photo number 10 since it really looks good with flower facing all four directions. I do not know whether it was intended; however, I still like it.
Hey K.T. When I was looking through your photos I really liked your use of darker shades. I think it added a clarity and focus on specific parts of the photos. Like in 5, 6, and 9, the shades that are black really added symmetry to your photos. You did well with the contrast of the black and white of each of your photos; not over doing it but also not allowing for any photos to become bland. Each made me pay attention to the little detail of your photos. I would make my vote for number 2 as the best photo in the group. The aspects to this photo relate back to what I was saying but really honed in on what you were doing. I'm not entirely certain of what I'm looking at but I enjoy how the boarder is blurred compared to what is in the center. It actually took me a while to understand what was in the center which I think works really well for the photo. The fact that most of the picture is blurred and the center piece isn't entirely clear makes the photo eye catching.
The photo 8 is one of my favorite pictures. I loved how you captured a dog. It is almost look like a dog is still moving in a picture. I was able to feel the movement in this picture. I also liked photo 5 as well. I felt like I was looking at these building in my actual view point. And the contrast between buildings and the sky are really good.
I love these photos because of reflect the real world. Pic 1 is a great one, but it's not match the Photo cliches that professor give us. Pic 2 has great DOF, as well as composition, and I still wanna try to calculate how mach money in the bottom lol. Pic 3 has great point of view of pine tree, you can get higher effect when you shot from lower to higher. Also I think these pine trees are models, but its really looks like real. Really good work. But my favorite one is the Pic 5, stand between on buildings and watch the sky that reflect on glass wall, it always make me consider a lot. So I'm gonna vote the Pic 5.
My favorite photos of yours are #4 and #5. Although I believe you could have improved the tonal range in #4, I think that the sense of action creates such an impact that the colors aren't much of an issue. The geometrical lines of the bridge wires make the viewer look straight ahead, and the hustle and bustle of the people on the bridge is communicating a sense of importance. The bridge is an urgent connection between people and places, and the photo is creating a feeling of two communities uniting. I really appreciate the composition of photo #5. You're utilization of luminance to capture the building's reflection is intriguing, and I especially like how you positioned your subjects on the edges of the photo. I am a really big fan of dramatic contrast as you can see if you take a look at my photos. There is a great range of color from the darkest dark to the whitest white in this photo, which creates the appearance of a dreary, mysterious day. All in all, I really enjoy all of your photos! I am voting for #5 as your POW.
I really like photos 5 and 6. It is a close tie between the two. The composition of 5 is nice because of the reflectiveness in the geometrically shaped buildings. The clouds serve as a nice juxtaposition. The lighting in photo 5 is also really nice and I think you captured mystery nicely in the wide array of value. Photo 5 is my favorite because of the composition. I also like photo 6 because of the effect that the rain on the window pane has on the tree branch. I also think the black window frames add an element of balance that make the photo.
My favorite photos in this post are of #2 and #6. I really like the framing of photo #2 and the way the focal point of the image were the coins at the bottom of the seemingly never ending jar. I loved photo #6 because it was gave off such a peaceful and serene feel. I also loved the contrast between the dark tree branches and the bright sky. I would pick #6 as your POW.
