  1. Hi K.T., you grouped photos into interesting ways with interesting titles. Especially, the last title, Extra, sounds so humorous and witty to me. The third and fourth photos from the chapter, capture a hot-air balloon. Did you capture that in Philadelphia? So amazing moment. Also, you captured the same object at different location with different closeness which I really liked. Also, the first City Cities chapter and the second for the Love of Nature chapter are the exact opposite. so I really enjoyed seeing these two collections right next to each other. The fifth Weathered View is a familiar one, but again, this photo has two main subjects, near and far objects. The composition is really great! Lastly, I would like to vote the fifth self-portrait from a Day in My Shoes chapter. Yes, it is also familiar photo to me. I think this photo is brilliant. Two reflected image of you and surroundings definitely add mystery. No audiences will be bored when seeing this photo. Great job, K.T.!

I really really enjoyed your photos in the "For The Love Of Nature" chapter. I like how they are edited and the time of day that you took them at. They look great! I really love the first photo. The angle is awesome here and the winding road with the sunset in the background works well. My favorite overall photo for your portfolio would have to be the fourth photo in the "History Walk" chapter. I remember voting this photo as your photo of the week previously and I still love it. I think the monument at the end of the path makes it look as if the path is extended further until you make out the figure in the middle. The colors also work well in contrast here. Great job this semester!

  3. K.T.-
Your portfolio includes a unique variety of photos, and I think you did a great job organizing/grouping them into different chapters. You work extremely well with lines, geometric shapes, and empty space. The physical construction of many of your photos includes a deep depth of field, which makes your subjects appear continuous and never ending (specifically in your road views). I really like the second to last photograph in the chapter "extra." The buildings provide a nice frame for the hot air balloon, and the desaturated colors produce a serene/relaxed feeling. My favorite photo is number 2 in the chapter "city cities." You have an interesting and extrapolated angle of view, and I love the reflections of the buildings on one another. The photo is also framed nicely and the sky is very dramatic. Great processing here, what editing app did you use? Overall, your portfolio is extremely visually engaging, and really show your personal interactions with your subjects. Nice work!

  4. Great job labeling and organizing your chapters! Each title really represents the photos that are included. I also think you have a great range of photos which really defines your eye as a photographer. I enjoy A Weathered View and History Walk because I think each shows the beauty of things that are old. The rustic themes in A Weathered View really play well off one another to make for an interesting group of photos. My favorite of your photos is #4 from History Walk. I voted this for POW and still stand by it now. The golden colors contrasting with the darker greys and blues are wonderfully eye catching. It's a very interesting image that I always found myself stopping at to look at further. Great work!!

  5. I think your portfolio is great! you have created good composition, angle in your photos. And the colors are really clear and good quality. I stayed several photos because the colors are really beautiful. I enjoyed your extra chapter a lot. I feel some peacefulness through your extra chapter. Also, a weathered view chapter is interesting as well. The angles you played are very interesting, it makes your photo more attractive! I would vote for a weathered view chapter.

  6. K.T., I really enjoyed seeing your photos from the countryside/rural areas this semester. I think you had an interesting theme of balancing the scenes with geometric shapes, like the first photo in For the Love of Nation. I would like to vote for Photo 3 in For the Love of Nature as my favorite. The colors are so interesting and almost American Gothic feeling, yet incredibly relaxing and comforting, all while being slightly spooky. It is such a nice photo. I also like the winding road in the background that falls into the shadow, while the right side of the structure is hit with sun, causing it to be the lightest value in the frame.

  7. K.T.,
I think you did a great job of composing all of your photos in a way that truly reflects your point of view in that moment. Like Becca mentioned, I also like how many of your photos have a rural/countryside theme in them as it is different from the majority of our class's photos. My favorite chapter of yours is definitely "For the Love of Nature." My choice for your POY is #3 in the for the love of nature chapter. There is a sense of mystery behind the photo which makes the viewer wonder, who lives in the house/what is happening there? Great job this semester!
