Recipe:
I used two applications such as VSCO Cam and Aviary, Google Photo Editor, and Windows Photo Editor.
Photo 1 through 3, they show vertical or horizontal color.
Photo 7 looks like the national flag of China.
Photo 10 is focused on the opposite colors - in this case, cyan and red.
For photo 11, blue is the over-the-top color.
Photo 12 shows dusk night with mirror, so it looks like there is infinite sky.
All your works contain light color, such as deep red, lemon yellow and pink. These color can make awesome color contrast. So I really enjoy that. But I don't see some content or special meaning behind these photos. I think thats the only one question. Composition and framing are good. My favorite photos are No. 4, 6 and SP 2. There are two elements make the Pic 4: color and composition. Lemon yellow is my favorite one, also the stripe between upper and lower is completely two different way and that make criss-cross effect. That's good. The SP looks like performance art. So good job. For POW, I vote Pic 4.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your pictures! they all have really great color quality. I felt really warm and satisfaction through all of your pictures. You have captured many vivid colors such as pink, yellow, and red. And I definitely think that your pictures carry a story somehow such as photo 10 and 14. I also like your self-portraits; they seem to have a story.

ReplyDeleteI don't know what is the object of photo number 1 and 2, but I like it because I don't know. Also, the vibrant colors certainly create a playful feel, drawing the attention of the viewer.
Photo 11 shows the allusion of motion. (wayyy cool!) It's also taken by an angle that works. I have nothing else to say about the picture other than it's one of my favorites!
Photo 12 captures the pretty tones and has a great blend of blue and purple. I think of the possibility or anticipation of a spaceship filled with aliens coming to say hello to Earthians (:
What is the object in photo 15?
Overall, I think your photos are pretty. I feel a sense of calmness when viewing your work. (I don't know why and I am curious to find out why, possibly because I appreciate looking at "pretty things".)
Photo 2 got my vote due to the incorporation of shadows and differential colors.
I think you did a fantastic job of capturing color in this assignment. I liked how many of your photos were shot up close and yet I could still see your point of view. My choice for your POW would be your second self portrait. I love the contrast between the bright colors of your clothes and the white wall behind you. I found myself trying to figure out what you have on top of your head and which definitely captured the mystery element of the assignment!
ReplyDeletePhoto 12 is such an interesting picture. It is hard to tell where it was taken from, and I would guess that it was taken from the roof of a car. The color is captivating, the sky has a little pocket of orange that peeks into the corner of the photo, along with a sparse tree or brush. The moon also breaks up the large slabs of color in the photo. I vote for 12 as my favorite. I also really like photo 14. It looks like it could be featured in a magazine or advertisement. The picture is mostly pink, but it is not a sickening saturated pink, but instead a dusty, soothing color.
